The NRBA is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to the preservation of the craft of blacksmithing and to educational endeavors related to the craft.  We draw members primarily from Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and the Dakotas as well as several from Washington, Oregon and western Canada.

The NRBA supports and encourages the continued professional development of working smiths, the budding skills of those new to the pursuit and the interest and education of the general public in this ancient and fascinating craft. We invite you to join us as a member and to support the preservation of blacksmithing into the 21st century.

The NRBA is an affiliate of the Artist Blacksmith Association of North America (ABANA)

Our Next Conference is scheduled for Friday May15 thru  Sunday May 17, 2026 in Bozeman, MT hosted by Scott Hall.  Ellen Durkan of Iron Maiden Forge will be demonstrating and attendees will complete the item demonstrated.  Limited dry camping will be available on site with additional dry camping nearby if needed.
